New to clothing shopping? The resurgence of the discount or second hand store #motownmom

Raising three children, I couldn’t afford new clothes all the time for the kids and the second hand clothing stores was a savior for my wallet.

Christmas wouldn’t be celebrated in December at our home. It would be when I got my tax check from the IRS. I’d take the kids to a second hand store and allow them to fill a basket up with anything they wanted. They thought I was the Queen of the World, but to me, each basket was about no more than fifty bucks, which was something I’d had spent on them for Christmas, but at the second hand store, they were getting summer, winter and fall items they needed including clothes, shoes and things for their room.

Now a lot of the younger generations are seeing the benefits in second hand and discount stores to get their clothing.

Do you use them?
